The closest I could get to identifying this flower was a similar picture in the South African Wild Flower Guide No 9, and they have it down as the Pypiefluweeltjie, Sparaxis Variegata of the IRIDACEAE family. I am not convinced, so if anyone has any better ideas, please let me know.
