Arrive in Cape Town, and transfer to your hotel. Go up Table Mountain, weather permitting, or visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, before returning for a well-earned rest.

|
Go up Table mountain, or take a tour of the Peninsula, visiting the penguins en route.

|
Head out to Hermanus for a day of relaxing day of whale-watching, and browsing the markets.

|
Spend the day tasting wines and cheeses in the famous Constantia Valley, home to the wine most loved by Napoleon.

Day 5 |
Head up the West Coast for an outdoor seafood eating experience, tasting wine on the way. Overnight near Lamberts bay, in a B&B run by local people, renowned for their unsophisticated hospitality.

|
Travel further up the West Coast in search of the finest wild flowers, before returning to the B&B.

Day 7
|
Take a leisurely drive through the mountains, heading for the winelands, tasting wine where we can. This is where you see the Cape floral Kingdom at its most natural, and South Africa unadorned by tourist paraphernalia.

|
Spend the next couple of days exploring the winelands around the Franschhoek/Paarl area, doing some serious wine tasting.

|
Take a tour through the winelands, visiting Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, tasting the wines of the region. Have lunch on a wine farm and visit the Stellenbosch Museum to see how the early settlers lived.
