Day 1
Meet your guide at the airport in Johannesburg, and transfer to your hotel. Depending on what time you arrive, have a short orientation of the city, and Sandton, where you will be spending the next 3 nights ****BB

Day 2
Drive out to Pretoria today, to see the capital of South Africa. Visit the Houses of parliament, Kruger House, Voortrekker Monument, and other historical sights. After lunch we will go to the Cullinan Diamond mine before returning to your hotel.

Day 3
Today we can tour Soweto or Gold Reef City, go shopping, gambling, play golf (green fees not included) or just relax. ****BB |

Day 4
Leave Johannesburg today, heading for Mpumalanga. Lunch in Dullstroom, the highest town in the country, before heading for the historical town of Pilgrim's rest. Country hotel BB |

Day 5
Head out this morning on the Panorama Route, visiting God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, before arriving at your hotel on the edge of Kruger Park. ****DBB
Day 6
Very early departure for Kruger Park, for a full day's game viewing, arriving in the camp at dusk, in time to watch the sunset and drink a gin and tonic. Basic BB
Day 7
Another early morning, game viewing, before arriving at the next camp. Basic BB |

Day 8
Early again, but this time we head for the luxury lodge, in time for lunch, before going out on a night drive with one of the rangers in an open vehicle. Super Luxury DBB |

Day 9
Early morning game drive on an open vehicle, before we leave the Kruger National Park, and head for Barberton. ****BB
Day 10
Today you can sleep a little later! We will be leaving Mpumalanga, heading for Kwa-Zulu Natal, and the coast. Overnight in Mkuze, renowned for the bird life. ****DBB |

Day 11
Tonight will be spent in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, known for the population of black and white rhino.
Day 12
This morning we head down the coast for Durban, where we will spend 2 nights in a 4* hotel near the beachfront. ****BB |

Day 13
Sleep late! All day if you like. Do a tour of the city, visiting the Indian market and uShaka Marine World. ****BB |

Day 14
Head inland again, via the Drakensberg and the Golden Gate National Park, to Clarens, in the Free State. |
|
Day 15
Today we skirt the borders of Lesotho, heading for the Southern Free State, where we'll spend the night on another game farm. |

Day 16
An easy drive today, via Queenstown, to Cradock, with a visit to the Mountain Zebra National Park. The hotel tonight is an old Victorian hotel, so if you brought your sequins, this is the chance to wear them. |

Day 17
Leave Cradock after breakfast, and head for Addo Elephant National Park, where we'll spend 2 nights. Basic BB |

Day 18
Games drives in the morning, and afternoon, with relaxation time in the middle of the day. Basic BB
Day 19
We could start with a game drive, or head straight on out for Knysna, along the old Garden Route, which travels along the coast. Stop in Plettenberg Bay, and Storms River, for tea and cake! Arrive in time for a sunset cruise on the lagoon. Knysna is famous for its oysters! |

Day 20
Spend the day wandering around the markets, catching up on postcards, or watching the rugby in the local pub. |

Day 21
Catch the Outeniqua Choo Choo train to George, where you can wander around the railway museum, before heading out via the Outeniqua Pass for Oudtshoorn, the feather capital of South Africa. |
|
Day 22
Visit the Cango Caves, and take a drive up the Swartberg Pass (weather permitting) before going to a small establishment in one of the towns on the Route 62. |

Day 23
Travel via Swellendam and the fruit farms and wine farms, to spend the night in the quaint town of Franschhoek. |
|
Day 24
Spend the day tasting the wines of the region, visit the estates and do a cellar tour, while seeing the various towns in the winelands. |
|
Day 25
Go shopping in Stellenbosch, on the way to Cape Town, where you can go up Table Mountain if it isn't too windy. Irish coffee watching the sunset, before dinner. |

Day 26
Do a tour to Cape Point, visit the penguin colony at Simonstown, visit the seals at Hout Bay. |

Day 27 
|
Tour the city this morning, visit Greenmarket square, the South African Museum, Company Gardens, and the Castle. Head to Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens for lunch.
Day 28
These next 2 days are really for doing what you still want to do - visiting friends, or go up the West Coast for a seafood banquet. Why not invite your friends along? |
